So why not mix it up a little this summer? Combine your favorite candy and America’s favorite dessert for an Almond Joy Brownie! The sweetened coconut flakes feed my coconut addiction, and the texture takes away some of the monotony of regular brownies. Plus, the sliced almond sprinkling on top gets nice and toasted, balancing out the sickly sweetness of whatever else made it to the dessert table.


  •  brownie mix for making a 9x9-inch pan*
  •  1 1/3 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  •  2 tablespoons sliced almonds


  1. Preheat oven to package instructions.
  2. Prepare brownie mix to package instructions.
  3. Once prepared, smooth half of the brownie mix into a 9x9-inch baking pan
